Rwanda: International Cuisine

Rwanda is increasingly embracing the global markets - in the economy and through tourism. Nowhere better reflects these modern partnerships than its cosmopolitan capital of Kigali. You may sip an eloquent cocktail while gazing onto a thousand lights in the hills or enjoy rich Indian food on a candlelit veranda. There are options from every habitable continent and they will continue to grow.

Where to eat:

Pili-Pili: This classy Rwandan bar (and hotel) may have one of the best views in town. A swimming pool and open-air bar overlooks the city and its many hills. You can find an eclectic mix of local and international food, as well as an eloquent cocktail.

Sol et Luna: An Italian favorite, the restaurant sources ingredients from Italy for pasta, pizza, meat, seafood, and more.

Zen: This upscale restaurant serves East Asian cuisine from across the continent: Japan, China, Thailand, and beyond.

Khana Khazana: A favorite Indian restaurant, food is served on the back patio

Le Panorama: International food from around the globe in the top floors of the Hotel des Mil Colines (also location of the true story, and Hollywood movie, Hotel Rwanda).
