North Country Trail: Michigan
The North Country Trail (NCT) traverses 1,150 miles through the Great Lakes state - 550 miles through the Upper Peninsula (UP) and 600 miles through the Lower Peninsula. The UP boasts solitude and evergreen, mossy forests. The haunting melodies of the loon linger and waves crash endlessly on the rugged shoreline of Lake Superior.
